A real ambush?
The firefighters of Albertville, in Savoy, were victims on Monday around 9:30 p.m. of a stone in the Champs-de-Mars district.
The firefighters were originally called in for a simple vehicle fire.
But once they arrived in the intervention area, a welcoming committee of around thirty people was waiting for them, according to France Bleu.
The firefighters were quickly targeted by stones and had to turn back.
None, however, were injured and there was no material damage to their vehicles either.
The police also had to intervene to disperse the crowd.
The scenario of an ambush is probable, according to the first elements of the investigation, since tires would have been placed near the car to feed the fire.
Moreover, the incident could have been much more dramatic: the vehicle fire could have spread to the facade of a neighboring building.
The departmental fire and rescue service of Savoy announced that it was going to file a complaint.
