SPIEGEL:

Mr. Wolf, I need a new notebook.

Which of them should I take?

Wolf:

There are a few decisions to be made in advance.

First of all, basically for an operating system.

By far the most popular is Windows, but Apple's MacBooks also have a very loyal community.

And with this decision you are moving into two different price ranges.

With comparable technical performance, MacBooks are significantly more expensive than most Windows devices.

Whereby you can spend 2000 euros for a Windows notebook.

And are they also better?

Wolf:

The Apple MacBook Pro 16 is a luxury product and, in our current notebook test, it is by far the test winner.

But it also costs three times as much as the other devices in the test, namely 2700 euros.

We took it in because it is the entry-level device from Apple with a size of 16 inches, they don't have anything cheaper in this size.

The workmanship is really good for it, and quality and aesthetics also play a role for Apple buyers.

In terms of technical performance alone, you don't necessarily need a MacBook.
