The scene caused a jam of curious motorists.

This Monday morning, a bus caught fire at Porte de Bercy, on the ring road, learned the Parisian from the Paris firefighters, confirming information from BFMTV.

Around seven o'clock in the morning, a first fire truck intervened on the ring road to try to extinguish the fire.

Faced with the difficulties encountered, a second truck came to lend a hand.

No injuries are to be deplored, specifies the Paris Fire Brigade (BSPP).

In total, around twenty firefighters were mobilized to put out the fire.

The fire did not cause any other accidents.

For the time being, the precise reasons for the outbreak of fire are not known.

The police, already on site before the firefighters arrived, were able to control traffic and close access to the entry routes at Porte de Bercy.

The traffic briefly disrupted, in particular at the entrance to the southern ring road from the A4 motorway where access was prohibited, was able to resume gradually.

A hybrid bus

The RATP bus that caught fire is hybrid, and runs on both gasoline and electricity.

In April, A Bluebus, Bolloré's electric buses used by the RATP, caught fire in Paris, less than a month after a first fire on a machine of the same model.

Since then, nearly 150 company buses have been taken out of circulation, in order to know the exact boxes of these repeated fires.
