This is perhaps a substantial step forward in an investigation which, until now, has taken place quietly.
According to information from Le Parisien, three people were taken into custody this Tuesday morning by the gendarmes of the Strasbourg research section in the investigation into the disappearance of Lina, which occurred six months ago almost to the day.
They are a couple and a man living in the Alsatian region.
These are the very first police custody carried out on commission of request by the investigating judges in this mysterious case.
If nothing indicates at this stage that Lina's kidnapper is among those in custody, the investigators intend to clarify several elements concerning them.
These suspects were interviewed under the coercive regime of police custody either to check potential inconsistencies in their schedule or because they declared, during a first hearing, to have seen Lina on the day of her disappearance when investigations revealed that this was impossible.
This operation is described as “closing the doors” and nothing says that it will lead to presentations before the investigating magistrates at the end of police custody.
The couple was summoned by the police while the man was arrested at his home.
