It's called the GV60 Magma Concept, an electric SUV developed with the experience of racing legend Jacky Ickx with which Genesis - Hyundai's premium brand - enters the territory of high-performance cars, aiming for the world of Mercedes' AMGs and M's of BMW.

Fourth 'pawn' of the Magma program that Genesis intends to deploy, after the GV80 Coupé Concept, the G80 Special and the exhibited from March 29th at the New York International Auto Show - at the Genesis House in New York, together with the other Neolun Concept.

GV60 Magma Concept improves the design and performance of Genesis' first electric SUV. Using state-of-the-art battery and engine technologies and with an external design that harmonizes aesthetics with 'performance' interventions on the chassis, aerodynamics and propulsion system.
In order to optimize stability during sporty driving, the GV60 has been widened and lowered, with a lower center of gravity.
The distinctive exterior design of the GV60 Magma Concept extends to the luxurious and sporty interior. It features elements including enveloping seats with backrests in the same color as the bodywork, covered in nappa leather and suede with stitching in the iconic Magma orange and titanium gray colour. Neolun Concept instead anticipates a possible full size electric SUV, with a design with traditional shapes but with solutions - such as the absence of side uprights - which revolve around the principle of 'reductive design' which deliberately eliminates any unnecessary detail.
In contrast to conventional vehicle architecture, the Neolun's door layout offers a much more open interior space and maximizes convenient passenger access.
All this is completed by the electric side steps which are activated automatically when the doors are opened, making it easier for passengers to enter and exit the vehicle.
The 'sign' of the headlights integrated into the bodywork blends perfectly with the front design and is also found at the rear of the vehicle, conveying strength and grandeur. In keeping with the reductive design, the high-mounted central brake light is embedded in an intricate and detailed perforated pattern.
The cabin is spacious and accentuates comfort and relaxation also with a radiant heating system inspired by the traditional Korean 'ondol'. The uses heating films applied to the dashboard, door trims, floor, seat backs and sides of the console.
The swivel function of the front row seats maximizes space and convenience for passengers, as the large adjustable screen and flexible display that unfolds from the rear seat cover provide a stimulating sensory experience. The cashmere fabric in the shade "Royal Indigo" blends seamlessly with the vintage-inspired Purple Silk leather, which has been naturally dyed with organic pigments, creating a deeply relaxing atmosphere.
