(CNN Spanish) - At least 16 people were injured this Saturday after an explosion at a police substation in the municipality of Sardinata, in Norte de Santander, Colombia.
The Ministry of Defense reported that the device, probably a grenade, was thrown at about 11 pm against the building. Among the injured are 14 civilians and 2 officers.
Hours later, some individuals fired and launched another explosive device at prominent police officers in the municipality of Tibú, in the same department. In that incident they were not reported injured.
At the scene of the shooting, the agents later found pamphlets “alluding to the neutralization of Jorge Brizeño, the 'monkey Jojoy,” the Ministry said.
To date, no catches are reported for the facts.
