Greece will allow Israelis to enter tourists and businessmen from Israel without restriction, subject to the presentation of a Corona 72 test prior to the flight.
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dandias today (Monday) briefed Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi on the Greek government's decision.
The decision will take effect on September 15.
Ashkenazi thanked his colleague and congratulated him on the strategic partnership between the two countries.
"The fact that Greece is the first country to open its gates in the Corona era is proof of the strong alliance between the countries," he said.
"The Greek-Israeli relationship is an example that cooperation and direct dialogue between countries is the surest way to economic prosperity."

Transport Minister Miri Regev joined in the congratulations.
"The continued opening of Greece to unlimited Israeli tourism is an important message for the residents of Israel who asked us to expand their travel destinations and proves that the graded and responsible policy we took to open the skies was right," she said.
"I thank Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi and the Foreign Ministry staff who are already working to open additional destinations."
