The local media on the Danish island of Greenland announced that the first two cases of monkeypox virus had been recorded on the island.

According to Danish radio, the two injured are employees of the US military base "Tole", northwest of Greenland, and they have entered quarantine.

The local radio station (KNR) indicated that there is no danger of monkeypox spreading in cities and towns.

The World Health Organization declared the outbreak of monkeypox a global health emergency on July 23, and more than 30,000 cases of monkeypox were recorded around the world, in addition to monitoring a number of deaths from the virus.
