One person died and another was injured as a result of a fire in a packaging factory in Port Said, in the Sbeineh area in Damascus countryside.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Brigadier General Muhammad Al-Jardi, commander of the Damascus countryside fire brigade, explained that as soon as the fire was reported in a material packaging plant in the Port Said area in Rif Dimashq, opposite the Sabineh power station, members of the Damascus countryside fire brigade went to the place, and the fire was controlled and extinguished with the participation of 4 firefighting vehicles.
Brigadier Al-Jardi indicated that the presence of chemicals and plastics in the laboratory caused the rapid spread of the fire, which led to the death of one person and the injury of another who was transferred to the hospital.
