It would seem that Queen Elizabeth II has regained the hair of the beast.

Invited this Friday, May 13 to a prestigious equestrian competition near Windsor Castle (United Kingdom), the “Royal Windsor Horse Show”, the 96-year-old monarch appeared smiling, playful and in better shape than ever.

What allay concerns about his state of health.

Arriving at the competition venue in her iconic Range Rover, the Queen wore tinted glasses and a dark blue cardigan, and a scarf over her head.

She was accompanied by her son Prince Edward and his wife, Countess Sophie of Wessex.

The couple were present to applaud their eldest, Lady Louise Windsor, 18, granddaughter of the monarch.

The young woman paraded at the head of the procession as part of the centenary of the Fell Pony Society, in the carriage of her grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, who died in April 2021.

The Royal Windsor Horse Show competition runs from May 121-15.

If usually, the queen, passionate about horses, never misses a single day, her presence was uncertain this year due to these previous cancellations to major events.

On May 10, she had notably shaken up her agenda and canceled her traditional throne speech in the British Parliament, during which she read aloud the government's program during a ceremony with great fanfare.

It was his son, Prince Charles who had replaced him.

A great first.
