Chocolate is good for health: this is what recent studies by Oxford University and Columbia University have determined • Chocolate helps reduce the risk of heart disease and improve memory • For the first time since the Corona virus, the Chocolate Festival in the Galilean Landscape is back in Ha'am Sukkot

New studies prove that chocolate is actually healthy for health.

It is generally believed that chocolate consumption can cause health damage such as diabetes, obesity and dental problems, but new research that has been revealed recently points to the opposite trend, controlled chocolate consumption has many benefits.

In a new study by Columbia University, published this week in the journal "Nutrition and Metabolic Insights", it was found that antioxidants found in dark chocolate were able to improve the memory of people of advanced age, which had already deteriorated.

This study continues and confirms past studies that have shown that chocolate prolongs life, helps with arterial diseases, and of course - improves mood.

no need to hesitate anymore,

The results of the study showed that among people who drank a cocoa mixture containing high levels of flavanols, organic antioxidant compounds, memory improved in the three months of the experiment by 25%, compared to people who drank compounds that are not rich in flavanols.

The memory of people who drank the antioxidant-rich compound performed as well as the memory of people two to three decades younger than them.

In five additional studies, conducted at Oxford College, it was observed that consuming a large amount of chocolate has an effect on a reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases.

According to them, consuming high levels of chocolate results in a 37% reduction in the risk of cardiovascular disease, and a 29% reduction in the risk of stroke.

The researchers noted that the findings should be treated with caution, especially because the commercial chocolate sold today is high in calories - about 500 calories per 100 grams - and that eating large amounts of chocolate leads to weight gain, and with it an increased risk of diabetes and heart disease.

On the holiday of Sukkot, the fifth chocolate festival will be held in Nof HaGalil with giant representatives, workshops, plays, shows, chocolate tastings and all for free.

The mayor of Nof HaGilil, Ronen Plot, said: "We brought to Nof HaGilil the three largest manufacturers of chocolate in the world: Strauss, Carmit and Epifit.

Now after two years of Corona we will celebrate Israel's chocolate festival bigger, more exciting and sweeter.
