A new settlement plan for the Israeli occupation to expand a settlement built on the lands of the villages of Jalud and Turmusaya, south of the city of Nablus in the West Bank, threatens to seize large areas of Palestinian lands amid the international community’s failure to implement the resolutions of international legitimacy and stop the plans of the settlement occupation in the occupied Palestinian territories.
In its weekly report issued today on its website, the National Office for Land Defense and Settlement Resistance of the Palestine Liberation Organization stated that the occupation authorities announced a plan to establish 543 new settlement units to expand a settlement built on the lands of the villages of Jalud and Turmusaya in Nablus, which threatens to seize 376 dunums of Palestinian agricultural land. .
The report pointed out that the occupation continues its plans to Judaize the occupied city of Jerusalem, as it erected a new checkpoint for its forces near the entrance to the town of Hizma, northeast of the city, and its bulldozers began razing areas of Palestinian land to build a settlement road encircling the town and paving the way to seize hundreds of dunams of land in its vicinity.
The report indicated that the occupation continues to demolish Palestinian homes in the West Bank to displace them, as it demolished several homes in the villages of Al-Taybeh and Al-Janiya in Ramallah and handed demolition notices to several homes, wells, and agricultural and commercial facilities in the towns of Deir Sharaf in Nablus, Yatta in Hebron, and worshiped in Jenin and Broqin in Salfit and Arab Al-Malihat in Jericho.
The report stated that the occupation forces prevented the Palestinians from rehabilitating the entrance to the town of Sebastia, north of Nablus, and closed all roads leading to the town of Beita, south of it.
The report pointed out that the settlers continue their attacks on the cities and towns of the West Bank under the protection of the occupation forces, as they stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Old City and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem, and attacked Jerusalemites, injuring a number of them. They also stormed the town of Al-Khader in Bethlehem and sprayed areas of Palestinian agricultural lands with poisonous pesticides. Which led to the destruction of 400 grape trees and they attacked Palestinian homes and properties in the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, while they burned dozens of olive trees in Jabal Sabih, south of Beita town in Nablus.
