At least two people were killed and others injured when a train derailed yesterday in the US state of Montana.
The Montana Emergency and Disaster Services Coordinator told the New York Times that at least two people have died and more than 50 people have been injured.
"Amtrak is working with local authorities to transport injured passengers and safely evacuate all other passengers," Amtrak Railroad said in a statement, noting that about 147 passengers were on the train, in addition to 13 crew members.
The company statement indicated that five of the train cars derailed near Joplin, north of Montana.
