40 million motorists association is calling for a cap on fuel prices in an online petition. A liter of SP95-E10 is now priced at 1.90 euros, a level not reached in six months.
Diesel has increased by 2.5 cents in a week. The petition is reminiscent of the one launched by Priscillia Ludosky at the origin of the Yellow Vest movement in 2018. The text entitled “For a reduction in prices at the pump” had collected more than a million signatures.. The State must act urgently to reform taxation on fuels, in order to moderate their prices and preserve the mobility and purchasing power of French households, says the petition. The petition has been signed by more than 1,000,000 people and is expected to reach 1,500,000 by the end of the week.
