The Burton of London brand will be liquidated, the Paris commercial court announced on Tuesday. The ready-to-wear brand was due to close its stores on February 10.
The fashion brand was placed on a safeguard plan in October 2022 before going into receivership in June 2023. The health crisis has also hit brands already weakened by the rise of “fast fashion” giants like Zara or H&M and online sales. San Marina, Kaporal, Don't Call Me Jennyfer, Naf Naf… Fashionable clothing brands in the 1990s and 2000s have been in deep difficulties.
