Global Corruption Index: Israel dropped to 33rd place - voila! Of money. This year's index dealt with the connection between governmental corruption and a weakened legal system.
"In 2023, the authorities carried out actions to weaken the independence of the judicial system. The civil struggle prevented a sharper decline," says Shabil. The leading countries at the top of the index are Denmark with a score of 90 for the second year in a row. The United States continues to falter and receives a low score of 69 in the 2023 index.
