Luis Lucero is a lawyer specialized in the mining industry, in natural resources law and with extensive experience in project financing, corporate matters, and complex arbitrations and litigation. He will occupy the position that Flavia Royón left in February, after the failure of the Omnibus Law in Deputies.

Lucero graduated as a lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires; He completed a Postgraduate Degree in Business Law from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa. He also received a Master of Arts degree, with honors, from University College London (UCL).
