The IMF gave the green light to the agreement with the Government and made the first disbursement. It would be about 4.7 billion dollars, of which a part would be used to pay this week's maturities with the organization.
The agreement was the first to be signed in the Milei government, an announcement that was made on January 10. It was not new money, but rather the recovery of an agreement that fell during the government of Alberto Fernández. The deal was reached after negotiating the seventh technical review of that March 2022 commitment.
