Hauts-de-Seine attracts a large number of Parisian workers. More than 230,000 people live there while working in Paris, a record.
Le Parisien has compiled various criteria prejudging the quality of life in the 36 communes. The travel time by public transport (Transilien, RER and metro) and by car to reach the center of Paris (Les Halles) has been calculated. The number of metro stations but also the density of cycle paths in the city has been also calculated.
