Golden retriever Lincoln and baby cat Charlie prove the opposite. The video of the beginning of the unlikely friendship between dog and cat has already received over a million clicks and almost 140,000 likes on the social media channel of owner Kate Sherwood.
A study by the Italian Università degli Studi in Perugia, which surveyed pet owners who owned both dogs and cats, found that the majority of non-native pets play with each other – including sleeping together. Only one cute detail could be confirmed: While the velvet paws ignore their roommates more often, the two furry noses are inseparable and only experience everyday life together.
