A new type of sailing boat is being built in the Finistère shipyards. “Anemos” is the first cargo boat towed by the power of the wind alone.
If the merchant navy were a country, it would be the tenth emitter of greenhouse gases. This two-mast which moves without fuel energy reduces these emissions into the atmosphere. It reduces air pollution, which is critical in large ports. It drastically reduces the cacophony caused by propellers which disrupts marine life.
