The Deutschlandticket for 49 euros per month on subscription has been valid since 1 May. So far, it entitles the holder to travel on all buses and trains of local and regional transport nationwide.
On several routes, the ticket is already valid for journeys abroad, for example to Salzburg, Schaffhausen in Switzerland or between Emmerich and Arnhem on the Lower Rhine. A german-French project is about to be launched: 18- to 27-year-olds residing in Germany or France can register for the free "Friendship Pass"
