A case of tuberculosis was spotted in a nursery school in Libourne, in Gironde. In a letter received on January 30, parents at the Garderose school learned that one of the teachers had been diagnosed as carrying the disease.

Some students, having been in contact with the sick teacher, are likely to be affected by the Koch bacillus bacteria, which is transmitted through the air. In accordance with the recommendations of the High Council of Public Health, these children will soon be screened. This will require a chest x-ray.
