The victim was identified as German Cipulli, 54, a prestigious gynecological doctor in the city of Rosario. The man would have fallen from the second floor to the third basement of the building, when he tried to help a woman who was locked in the elevator box.
Police presume that the victim opened the elevator door to rescue the woman, but for unknown reasons, she fell and died instantly. In 2013, one of the elevators collapsed from the sixth floor and three people were injured.
