A fine of up to 50,000 euros: spring flowers are not allowed to be picked. If plants fall under special species protection, they may under no circumstances be picked or dug up.
Not just snowdrops: arnica, squill, monkshood, crocuses, pasqueflowers, daffodils, irises, tulips, all carnations and gentians and most ferns are protected. Pussy willow branches may not be cut off between March 1st and September 30th.
