New traffic light system for promotional goods displays real-time inventory in Lidl stores. Red means "sold out", yellow means "almost sold out" and green means "available" The system works by extracting detailed information from the cash register data of the branches.

So far, the traffic light colors can only be accessed online, but they will soon be visible in the new traffic light from Monday to next Saturday, reports the "Lebensmittelzeitung" (LZ)
