Alexander Stubb, new president of Finland sworn in. Stubb gave a speech in which he thanked Niinistö for his 12 years as head of state.

"We live in a time of worry and disorganization," Stubb underlined in his first official speech as president. The baton was passed from his predecessor, Sauli Niinistsö, to Stubb. The inauguration took place in Helsinki, Finland's capital, this evening. The ceremony was attended by the prime minister of Finland, Jyrki Katainen.
