Artist accused of blasphemy stabbed in Carpi. An unknown person stabbed the artist Andrea Saltini in the neck inside the church of Sant'Ignazio di Carpi, in the province of Modena.

The 'Gratia Plena' exhibition, by Saltini, is taking place and is at the center of heated controversy as it is considered by some to be blasphemous. A man wearing a mask entered the church and damaged one of the works with a knife, also staining it with paint sprayed with a spray can.
