The woman, a teetotaller, remained five days with the car mired in the mud, until it was discovered by the emergency services flying over the area. Lillian had set off on Sunday for what was supposed to be a short trip, through thick bush in Victoria, but ended up in a dead end after taking a wrong turn.
She was found about 60km from the nearest town but, due to health problems, was unable to walk for long, so she stayed in her car.
