The 34-year-old Israeli conductor won the third edition of the conducting competition co-organized by the Philharmonie de Paris and the Paris Mozart Orchestra. Of the eight prizes awarded by the jury chaired by Nathalie Stutzmann, the Israeli Bar Avni won five.
“Of all, undoubtedly the one who honors and upsets me the most,” concedes the 34- year-old. She assures her: she didn't even think she would pass the first round.
