Berlin Theater Prize goes to dramaturge Nele Hertling. Hertling has been transforming Berlin for 60 years, the jury said on Thursday.

She will receive the 20,000 euro prize at the Berlin Theatertreffen in May for her commitment to the Berlin art scene. The theater prize has been awarded since 1988. So far, the actresses Sandra Hülser, Corinna Harfouch and Sophie Rois have received it. The prize was founded in 1983 by the State of Berlin from the remaining assets of the Prussian State Bank.
