The Opéra du Rhin and the Philharmonic Orchestra have seen their subsidies cut by the EELV majority. The opposition and musicians are alarmed.

From 2023 for the Opera and from 2024 for the orchestra. A leaflet, signed by all the musicians, will be distributed to spectators these days. “The 2.5% reduction represents 180,000 euros”, explains the mayor of Strasbourg, Jeanne Barseghian. "We do not doubt her sincerity when she says her attachment to the orchestra, but came away without any guarantee of its sustainability," worries the CGT representative.
