Buenos Aires Justice will use US technology to track pedophiles on the web. They will be able to access the IP number, Internet provider, location and even the real-time actions of the suspects.
The new system comes thanks to an agreement signed with the United States Embassy. Between January 2023 and February 2024, the City's prosecutors' offices dedicated to cybercrime received more than 108,000 reports of sexual abuse of children and adolescents. This represents a monthly average of 8,314 reports and almost 280 daily cases.
