Survey of Federalberghi calculates a tourist turnover of about 6.88 billion euros. 41.8% will choose the sea, 26.2% will prefer the cities of art, 12.7% will go to mountain resorts.
Average expenditure per capita will stand at 454 euros, of which 425 for those who will remain in Italy. Almost half of holidaymakers (46.3%) decided to reduce spending on this holiday precisely because of inflation. The main motivation for the holiday will be rest and relaxation (66%), then fun (35%).
