Noémie Merlant returns, for her part, as director to the midnight screening to present her second film, Women on the Balcony. Christophe Honoré and Gilles Lellouche are among the two most anticipated climbs of the steps of this 77th edition. Despite the long screenwriters' strike in the United States, which froze many film names in 2023, the Croisette will welcome big names from around the world. The festival will take place from May 14 to 25 in Cannes, France, with the official selection to be announced on May 10. The official selection will be announced at the UGC Normandie on the Champs Élysées, in Paris, on May 11.
