CDM approves the national register for the foster care of minors. Until now, the law for children in foster care provided for the obligation of public or private care institutions and family-type communities to send the list of all minors placed with the public prosecutor at the local juvenile court every six months.

A National Register and Observatory will be established in the Department for Family Policies and there will also be a register in every Court, both of minors and ordinary ones. The new provisions on the protection of minors in foster Care were signed by the Ministers for the Family Eugenia Roccella and of Justice Carlo Nordio.
