Darderi has also become the 48th Italian in the Top 100 since the computerized ranking was introduced. The 21-year-old Italian of Argentine origins beat the Argentine Facundo Bagnis, n.207 in the world, in two sets 6-1-6-4 in the final of the ATP 250 tournament.
