For four weeks, parents across the country have decided not to send their children to class. The goal: to protest against the creation, at the start of the school year, of level groups in French and mathematics in 6th and 5th grade classes.

“This reform is completely out of step with the reality on the ground, it is the straw that breaks the camel’s back,” says Blandine Clerin, mother of two students at Lavoisier college in Pantin.
