The French representative at the European Singing Competition was a hairdresser and ironically developed an allergy to hair dyes. La Zara is the stage name of singer Fatima Zahra Hafdi.
Hafadi was born in Canada to a Moroccan family, and is what is called a "light bloomer", at least when it comes to the glittering world of stages and music. She herself is quite a fan of Celine Dion and among the other singers who inspire her are Edith Piaf, Lana Del Rey and Madonna.
