A variety of institutions will open their doors to the general public today free of charge. "The great response indicates our cultural resilience," says Association of Museums Chairwoman Raz Samira.
There will also be a variety of activities inspired by the chosen annual theme - "Museums, Sustainability and Welfare", as well as tours and trainings, workshops, and more. International Museum Day is celebrated annually around the world in order to increase public awareness of the importance of museums' contribution to society.
