The Duma approved in the third and final reading some amendments that provide for the possibility of "forced and controlled deportation" of people from the territories where martial law was introduced. The Ukrainian regions of Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, partly occupied by Russian troops.
In addition, the draft law provides that security forces can detain for 30 days persons accused of violating "prohibitions and restrictions" established by presidential decrees in territories where Martial law applies.
