Egg production in Cuba has plummeted by 50%, authorities admitted last year, and poultry production on the Caribbean island is currently at 50% capacity. According to available data, last September the price of acarton of eggs had reached 3,000 pesos (114 euros) compared to a monthly minimum wage of 2,100 peso (around 80 euros)
