Eid-el-Fitr: Ramadan will end on Wednesday, confirms the Grand Mosque of Paris. This celebration of breaking the fast takes place on the first day of the month of Shawwal, the tenth month of the Muslim calendar following that of Ramadan.
The date corresponds to that set earlier by the French Council of Muslim Worship (CFCM), which refers to astronomical calculations. Two prayers will be organized this Wednesday: one at 7:30 a.m., and one at 8:15 a. m.
