Eurozone inflation confirmed at 2.6% in February. In the European Union it was 2.8% from 3.1% in January.

The highest annual rates were recorded in Romania (7.1%), Croatia (4.8%) and Estonia ( 4.4%). Among the individual components, the highest contribution in the euro area came from services (+1.73 percentage points), followed by food, alcohol and tobacco (+0.79 points) and energy (-0.36 points)
