Max Verstappen has obtained pole position for the Australian Formula 1 GP, scheduled for tomorrow. The world champion put his Red Bull ahead of Carlos Sainz's Ferrari.
Sergio Perez's Red Bull and Lando Norris' McLaren will start in the second row. Lewis Hamilton was the biggest disappointment on Saturday. The multiple world champion - eight poles in his career in Australia - was unable to get his Mercedes into Q3 and will only start 11th. With a time of 1'15"915 VerStappen took the third pole in as many GPs this season.
