Verstappen sets the best time of the day in the first day of testing in Bahrain. The Red Bull driver beat the British Lando Norris in the McLaren and Carlos Sainz in the Ferrari by more than a second.
The teams for these tests only had one single-seater available for their two drivers. The other Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc was seventh. Valtteri Bottas (Fin /Sauber) and Nico Hulkenberg (Ger/Haas) were also testing.
