Dennis Hannon, a 32-year-old software engineer from New York, claims that his ex-wife forced their young son to change his gender and become a girl. Hannon: "I didn't realize that when he was in his mother's care, he was actually a girl named Ruby" The long court battle has cost him about $150,000 and while he still has visitation rights, he has no say in any medical decisions regarding his son.
"He never wanted to be a girl, it was an illusion his mother pushed on him," said Hannon.
