Gas bill rises for 2.5 million vulnerable people, 7% more. The price of gas for vulnerable customers remaining in the enhanced protection regime rose by almost 7% in January.
The National Consumers Union estimates increases of 179 euros per year. There are approximately 2. 5 million customers still under protection (over 75s, social bonus recipients, disabled people, emergency housing facilities following disasters).
