Germany, the law that liberalizes Cannabis comes into force. Adults will also be able to travel with 25 grams of substance.
In a second phase of legalization, regional pilot programs for commercial supply chains will be created. Germany is already Europe's largest medical cannabis market since the government legalized the drug for patients in 2017. The law partially legalizing cannabis for recreational use came into force today in Germany. The new rules will allow adults to grow up to three plants at home for private consumption. The first phase will see cultivation in non-profit clubs limited to 500 members.
