Google Maps sets new standards: Immersive View revolutionizes 3D navigation. The new 3D view on Google also shows buildings, vehicles, trees and even flying birds.

The feature comes in two versions: one for exploring places such as landmarks and parks, the other for comprehensive and detailed previews of routes. The immersive view for routes will initially be rolled out in 15 cities worldwide - such as San Francisco, New York and London, as Google announced. It is currently only available for a few places in Germany, like the Eiserner Steg in Frankfurt.
